the Band
This group is made up of some of the biggest Widespread Panic Fans out there. Read on to find out more about our band and the people behind the music.
Blake Zahnd
Our very own JB, Blake is 54 Bicycles’ lead singer and frontman. Educated at the Berklee College of Music and a busy, working musician in and around Charleston, SC, Blake has about the best version of JB you’ve ever heard. Close your eyes for too long and you’ll swear you’re right back at one of the great, classic Widespread shows.
Guitar & Lead VocalsRob Williams
If you know Rob, you know no one brings as much passion for and experience with the music of Widespread Panic. Rob holds it down and rocks a great western shirt while pulling out all the tones and sounds of Mikey. One of the most veteran members of the group, you’re not going to leave a 54 Bicycles show without wondering just how he does it. He wonders that too, sometimes. But only sometimes…
Guitar & VocalsBass GuitarBrent Poulson
As a founding member and part of our great rhythm section, Brent’s a lockdown player with a great feel for the music. His passion for making sure the songs come out just right means you’re going to get an incredible show night in and night out. Dave Schools is a one-of-a-kind musician. Brent captures Dave’s sounds as closely as you’ve ever heard.
Reggie Smith
PercussionPercussionists are often overlooked, but they add an unmistakable, necessary texture to the music. Reggie is our guy and one of the original members of 54 Bicycles. He might be on stage playing, but we promise, he’s just as into the jams as any audience member.
Piano & VocalsJimmy Landry
A prolific musician, songwriter, and pianist, Jimmy brings a lot more than great musicianship to the band. He’s our vibes guy - full of energy, excitement, and a real penchant for life. A mountain man at heart, he’s just as comfortable behind his keyboards as he is crafting a gourmet meal in his mountain home in Asheville, NC.
DrumsNick Bolchoz
The “kid” of the group, Nick brings 20+ years of drumming experience to the band. A Charleston native, Nick was introduced to the music of Widespread Panic after being asked to join the band. Since then, he’s fallen in love with the grooves of both Todd and Duane, and does his best to capture the essence of the music.
